A Delicious Filipino Chicken Soup with greenPapaya

What you need!

1 lb Chicken, cut into bit size peices

1 small green (raw) papaya, cut into wedges

1 peice ginger,

2-inch,julienne cut

3 stalks of lemon grass (end portion)

2 cloves garlic,chopped

1 tablespoon cooking oil

1 small onion,chopped

1 tbsp olive oil 1 cup Moringa (malunggay) leaves

2 peices Knorr chicken cubes

4 cups water

Salt and pepper to taste (optional) I prefer to use Instant pot.

Chicken is juicy and fork tender,not chewey and rubbery 🙂

How to make it!

Saute the garlic, onions and ginger in the pressure cooker until onions are translucent.

Add the chicken and cook until the color turns light brown.

Turn pressure cooker to manual.

Pour the water, drop the chicken cubes and lemon grass and cover with the lid.

Simmer for 15 minutes until the chicken is fork tender.

Turn off (cancel) pressure cooker.

Remove the lemon grass.

Turn the pressure cooker to simmer. Add the papaya until cooked.

Turn off (cancel) the pressure cooker and add the moringa leaves while it is still simmering.

Stir and Serve. Enjoy!
